Agent Spotlight: Meet Luana Lindholm, Colorado REALTOR® and Brazilian Relocation Specialist

by Kate Swensen CORE Home Team

For Luana Lindholm, real estate is about much more than buying and selling homes. It is about helping people feel confident, informed, and at home in Colorado.

As a Brazilian immigrant who relocated to Colorado herself, Luana understands firsthand what it feels like to navigate a new community while making one of the biggest financial decisions of your life. Today, she uses that experience to guide home buyers, sellers, relocators, seniors, and first time buyers throughout Douglas, Adams, and Arapahoe counties.

Get to know Luana and what makes her such a special part of CORE Home Team.

What inspired you to become a real estate agent?

When I bought my first house as an immigrant relocating to Colorado, I was inspired to make the process simpler and more enjoyable for others like me.

I am naturally a guide, a storyteller, and an educator. I enjoy helping people see possibilities when they are overwhelmed or uncertain. Real estate just happens to be the vehicle that allows me to do that every day.

Tell us a little about yourself outside of real estate.

I’m basically a curious Brazilian mountain girl with a passport.

I love traveling throughout the state, collecting sunset memories, and getting lost in new towns. If you invite me to hike, paddle board, host a small gathering, or have a deep conversation about faith, family, immigration, or life’s big questions, I’m in.

What is something most people don’t know about you?

I once jumped off a float plane and got stuck in quicksand in the Amazon. True story!

What areas of Colorado do you primarily serve?

I primarily serve Douglas, Adams, and Arapahoe counties, with especially strong knowledge of Douglas and Adams counties.

What types of clients do you specialize in helping?

I specialize in Colorado relocation, seniors who are ready to right size or downsize, and first time home buyers.

Because I relocated to Colorado as an immigrant myself, I especially enjoy working with immigrant families and people who are trying to figure out not only which house is right for them, but which Colorado community feels like home.

What are your biggest strengths as a real estate agent?

I am an educator and guide by nature, and I also get to partner with a great team of marketing geniuses.

I want my clients to understand what they are doing and why. Buying or selling a home can feel overwhelming, so a big part of my job is helping break everything down and making the process feel manageable.

What makes you different from other REALTORS®?

Probably that I will become your unofficial Colorado tour guide, trusted advisor, and biggest cheerleader along the way.

Especially when someone is relocating to Colorado, finding the right home is only part of the process. You are also trying to understand communities, lifestyles, commutes, and what everyday life might actually look like there. I love helping people discover all of that.

What is your favorite part about helping someone buy or sell a home?

Making a friend for life and helping people navigate the challenges along the way.

Real estate transactions can have stressful moments, but being able to guide someone through those moments and eventually see them reach their goal is incredibly rewarding.

Tell us about one of your most memorable transactions.

Recently, I helped the daughter of longtime clients and dear friends buy her first home.

Nothing makes you feel older, or more honored, than helping the kids of people you once helped become homeowners themselves.

Being trusted by a family through multiple generations is incredibly special.

What is one lesson that has made you a better REALTOR®?

Be patient and persistent.

Real estate does not always go according to plan. Sometimes finding the right home, getting an offer accepted, or successfully selling a property takes time. Staying patient while continuing to move forward can make all the difference.

What do you wish you had known when you first got into real estate?

That it is a lifelong learning process.

The market changes. Contracts change. Technology changes. Communities grow. Every client and every transaction teaches you something new.

What advice would you give someone buying or selling a home in Colorado today?

Be very academic about the numbers.

In this market, we have to slow down and be strategic. Whether you are buying or selling, understanding the numbers and looking at the entire financial picture helps you make decisions based on your goals instead of emotion or pressure.

What is your favorite Colorado town?

Castle Rock.

I love that it is close to Denver while still giving you that mountain feel. It offers a great combination of access to the metro area and the Colorado lifestyle that so many people are looking for.

What real estate topics do people ask you about most?

Relocating to Colorado and downsizing.

Both involve much more than a real estate transaction. They are usually connected to a major life transition, which is why having someone who can educate you, help you explore your options, and guide you through the process is so important.

What types of homes do you enjoy working with most?

The ones that close!

But seriously, I love traditional homes, historic homes, and mid century modern homes. I love homes with character and a story.

Are there any groups you especially enjoy helping?

Immigrant relocators, seniors, and first responders.

I love working with people who may need a little more guidance, education, or local knowledge as they navigate their next move.
